Our Mission
Runway for Hope is a nonprofit dedicated to supporting pediatric cancer patients through toy drives, personalized support cards, and an annual fashion show where young fighters take the spotlight as models. By working closely with hospitals and families, we aim to bring joy, empowerment, and a sense of community to children battling cancer. Our mission is to provide hope, celebrate strength, and create unforgettable moments for these brave kids
Our History
Runway for Hope was founded in 2023 with a mission inspired by the deep impact cancer has on loved ones. Witnessing the emotional and physical toll of pediatric cancer, we set out to bring joy, empowerment, and support to young fighters and their families. What began as a simple initiative to uplift children through toy drives and support cards has grown into a full-scale nonprofit, aiming to host annual fashion shows where pediatric cancer warriors shine as models. Through our work, we honor the resilience of these children and strive to bring light to their journey
Our Impact
So far, Runway for Hope has raised over $3,000 cumulatively and collaborated with two hospitals—Rutgers Health Cancer Institute and Hackensack Meridian Health's Joseph M. Sanzari Children’s Hospital. We are currently in contact with three more hospitals to expand our impact and bring joy to even more pediatric cancer patients.
About Our Founder
Ms. Meghana Kumar
Meghana is a passionate advocate for pediatric cancer support, blending her background in community service, public speaking, and leadership to make a lasting impact. As the founder and CEO of Runway for Hope, she was inspired to create the nonprofit after witnessing the toll cancer takes on loved ones. With years of experience in nonprofit work, pageantry, and medical volunteering, she has dedicated herself to uplifting young fighters through toy drives, support initiatives, and a one-of-a-kind fashion show. Meghana’s mission is to bring hope, empowerment, and joy to children battling cancer, and she is committed to expanding Runway for Hope nationally to reach and support as many kids as possible.
